Condo swimming lessons, at the pool downstairs

No drive to a public complex, no hunting for parking, no wet child in the back seat. Your child walks down in their swimsuit, has a 45-minute lesson, and walks back up. For a lot of families that alone is the difference between lessons that last a month and lessons that last until the child can actually swim.

We teach at over 100 condo pools across Singapore, so there is a fair chance we already know yours. The coaching is the same as at a public pool: Learn to Swim, SwimSafer, Stroke Correction, adult beginners. Only the venue changes.

Condo Swimming lesson at a Singapore pool with Star Swim Aquatic

This is for you if any of these sound familiar

  • You have a condo pool and would rather your child learned there than in a crowded public lane
  • Your child is nervous, and a familiar pool with no audience will help
  • A few families in your block want lessons — put them in one group and share the coach
  • You are an adult who wants to learn without strangers watching
  • Weekends are already full of driving between enrichment classes

How condo lessons get set up

  1. Send us your condo name

WhatsApp the condo name, who is learning, their age and current level, and the times that suit you. We will tell you straight away whether we already teach there.

  2. Check what your management allows

Every condo sets its own rules. If we already teach at your condo we usually know the drill. If not, these are the questions to put to the management office before the first lesson:

    • Are paid external coaches allowed? Some condos do not allow them, and it is better to find out before you pay for anything.
    • Does the coach need to register? Some want the coach's name, IC or a visitor pass at the guardhouse. Register the coach as a coach, not as a guest — it avoids an awkward conversation later.
    • Must a resident be present? Often yes for children, and sometimes for adults too.
    • Which hours and how many learners? Some limit coaching to off-peak times or cap the group size.
    • Do we need to book the pool? Unless management reserves it for you, lessons share the pool with other residents.

Not sure how to ask? Send us the house rules and we will tell you what matters.

  3. A trial lesson

From $30 for 45 minutes, at your pool, with no commitment. We find out where your child actually is, and you find out whether you like how we teach.

  4. A regular weekly slot

Four lessons a month at the same time, paid monthly by PayNow.

How long it really takes

Learning from scratch, age 6+
Confident breaststroke in 3–4 months of weekly lessons — the same as at a public pool
Age 4–5
Closer to 5–6 months. Motor coordination is still developing — this is normal, not a problem
Adults
Varies widely. One of our adult learners went from nothing to 100m breaststroke in twelve lessons
What actually speeds it up
Swimming between lessons. A pool downstairs makes that easy — ten minutes of practice on a Wednesday is worth more than you would think

When this is the wrong programme

If your condo pool is deep all the way through with no shallow end, a small beginner can find it harder to relax. For the first few months a public complex with a proper teaching pool may suit them better — we will tell you honestly which it is.

And if the lowest possible price matters most, a public-pool group of 8–10 is $120/month, cheaper than any condo option. See all fees.

Format & class size

Fees at your residential pool, per month for four 45-minute lessons:

Standard group (up to 6): $140 · Quartet (4): $160 · Trio (3): $200 · Duo (2): $220 · 1-on-1: $400

Groups work well with siblings or neighbours of a similar level. Floats, boards and teaching aids come from us.

Condo Swimming questions, answered honestly

Do you already teach at my condo?

Possibly — we teach at over 100 condo pools. WhatsApp us the condo name and we will tell you within the hour.

Can my child join a group with other children from the condo?

Yes, and it is the best-value way to do condo lessons. If you know a few families who want lessons, put them together and each pays the group rate. If you do not, ask us — there may already be a group at your condo with space.

What does the condo management need from us?

It varies. Commonly: registering the coach with the management office, and sometimes booking the pool for the lesson slot. Check your house rules or ask the office; we will help with whatever paperwork they want from the coach.

What happens if it rains?

Light rain is fine — the pool is already wet. If there is thunder or lightning we stop and get everyone out, and do land drills instead.

Do you teach adults at condos too?

Yes. Plenty of adults prefer it — no strangers watching. See adult swimming lessons.

More general questions — fees, pools, wet weather — are answered on the main FAQ.

Not sure if this is the right programme?

Message me the age, the current level and what you're hoping for. I'll tell you which programme fits — including if the answer is none of them.
